About the Role

As a Solution Design Manager (SDM), you are the technical architect of the sales process. You bridge the gap between a client’s business goals and a successful technical launch. You will ensure that every solution we sell is scalable, supportable, and clearly documented before it reaches our implementation teams.

Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture

• Requirements Gathering: Partner with Sales and clients to translate business goals into technical requirements.

2. Scoping & Documentation

• The Blueprint: Create the formal Scope of Work (SOW), detailing mapping requirements, special processing, and limitations.
• Risk Management: Identify assumptions and escalate requirements that do not align with service policies for internal review.
• The Hand-off: Ensure a seamless transition by providing Technical Project Managers with a signed, "build-ready" blueprint.

3. Strategic Collaboration

• Product Liaison: Feed "boots-on-the-ground" client insights back to the Product Strategy team to help prioritize new features.
• Knowledge Sharing: Train new joiners in Professional Services and provide application overviews for Sales and Client Services.
• Escalation Support: Act as a critical point of contact for production issues linked to complex requirements or scope clarity.

Requirements:

Core Industry Knowledge

• Post-Trade Expertise: A deep understanding of trade flows, market participants, and the Securities, Futures, or Options industries (2–3 years preferred).
• Traiana/SaaS Savvy: Experience in a SaaS environment with a strong grasp of Securities products and services.
• Education: A BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Technical & Operational Skills

• Documentation: Ability to translate complex client needs into detailed workflows, scopes, and technical specifications.
• Project Management: Proven ability to handle multiple scoping initiatives at once with a highly organized, process-oriented approach.
• Connectivity: Experience with various file formats and technical connectivity types (this is a big plus).
• Tech Savvy: a bonus if you are proficient in MS office suite, Confluence/Jira, and Salesforce

OSTTRA is looking for an FP&A Lead to join our busy finance team, working alongside senior stakeholders to monitor business performance and provide financial insights to deliver enhanced value to our shareholders. Following OSTTRA’s recent sale to KKR, we are in the process of bringing all accounting and finance processes in house with this transition expected to be completed in Q3 2026. Alongside this we are heavily increasing our reporting, analytical and modelling capabilities to better drive business performance.

While responsibilities are subject to change as the team develops, this role has a specific focus on OSTTRA’s cost base and partnering the technology, client services and corporate functions. There is a significant change agenda so this role will suit someone who enjoys variety and is naturally curious. They must be able to operate in the detail – making sure our data is correct and reported accurately – but also adept at explaining the business rationale behind our results and analysis. Strong communication skills, resilience and flexibility are key.

This is a senior hire within the FP&A team, with responsibility for all cost accounts plus an expectation of high-level understanding across the p&l, balance sheet and cashflow. There are 6 direct reports, 4 based in India and 2 in London.

• Business Partnering/Analysis
• Drive insight and analysis to understand and enhance performance

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our core data center networks. About the Role: The Cash Applications Associate is responsible for executing end-to-end cash application processes to ensure timely and accurate posting of customer payments to accounts receivable. The role involves handling complex reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, supporting process improvements, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, AR domain expertise, and exposure to high-volume shared service or corporate environments.

The Team: Osttra Finance Team is based out of the UK, India, Penang, Sweden and US. It is an entrepreneurial team, who is highly energetic, flexible, dynamic and works beyond boundaries to deliver the real values. We are standing up an independent global finance team.

Work Hours: UK Shift (1 PM – 10 PM local hours)

Responsibilities and Impact:

The Cash Applications Associate will focus on the execution and accurate reporting of cash application activities:

Daily Cash Application & Posting

• Process and apply payments from multiple sources including bank transfers, lockbox, cheques, wire transfers, credit cards, and electronic payments (ACH/RTGS/SWIFT).
• Match payments to corresponding invoices in ERP systems.
• Review unapplied and unidentified payments to ensure resolution and accurate posting.

Reconciliation & Issue Resolution

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to short payments, deductions, chargebacks, pricing issues, and customer disputes.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the collections, billing, sales, and treasury teams to resolve payment issues.

Audit, Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, SOX, audit controls, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data in ERP systems.

Process Improvement & Leadership

• Identify gaps in existing workflow and contribute to standardization and automation initiatives.
• Support system transitions, UAT testing, ERP upgrades, and process documentation.
• Should be able to work and operate with minimal or no supervision.

Key Metrics: Responsible for producing metrics including but not limited to:

• Straight-Through Processing (STP) Rate: The employee's direct contribution to increasing the percentage of payments automatically applied without manual intervention. Maintain and increase the overall Cash Applications STP rate.
• Process/Post all transactions daily with the highest levels of accuracy. This includes number of payments, lockbox files, or EFT/ACH transactions.
• Maintain and improve Cash Application Cycle Time from the receipt of bank data (lockbox report, statement) to the final posting of cash to the customer's ledger. Ensure 90%+ of payments are posted within hours of receipt.
• Reduce and maintain the Unapplied Cash aging to less than 1% of the monthly receipts, with no items older than 3 days.
• Share active support to the Collections team towards speedy dispute resolutions.

Basic Required Experience:

To be successful in this role, the Cash Applications Associate must possess a mix of Technical & Professional competencies. They must be adept at:

• Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience in an Order to Cash process with a global organisation. Prior Cash applications experience in a Financial Services company will be preferred.
• Stakeholder Management: managing key stakeholders across Order to Cash and larger Finance Teams.
• Customer Management: Ability to resolve customer queries with effective resolution within agreed timescales.
• Teamwork: A collaborative and cooperative attitude, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex billing information clearly and concisely to key stakeholders. Good presentation skills are a must have.
• Analytical skills: Strong analytical ability to analyse billing data, identify trends, and explain variances.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing historical outstanding invoicing data, identify and resolve issues with the stakeholders and customers, understand and resolve queries right first time within the agreed timeframe. Candidate should be highly accurate in data entry and record keeping.

OSTTRA is looking for a Senior FP&A Associate to join our busy finance team, working alongside senior stakeholders to monitor business performance and provide financial insights to deliver enhanced value to our shareholders. Following OSTTRA’s recent sale to KKR, we are in the process of bringing all accounting and finance processes in house with this transition expected to be completed in Q3 2026.
